We offer corrective maintenance to manytypes of roofing systems (metal, copper, zinc, flats, cedar, slate, shingles, etc.). When corrective maintenance is no longer possible and re-roofing is the only option we are available for consulting. Re-roofing is a complicated process as it requires careful planning to assure efficient replacement of the old system. We must consider many factors when re-roofing such as budget, weather, surroundings, building and optimum roofing system. We are able to complete the project with little disturbance to normal building routine. We ensure water tightness during the whole completion schedule of the project. When re-roofing we assess the roof’s condition and repair any deficiencies (sheathing, replacement of boards, masonry, framing etc.) prior to the new or revamped roof.

Slate Roofing

Slate Roofing is one of the most complex and misunderstood roofing system available. A slate roof has the capability to last for well over 100 years and even centuries when it is installed with the proper materials and installation methods.

We have the expertise to provide a full service slate roofing system complete with all flashing systems that are custom made and designed to stand the test of time.

Shingle Roofs

We offer many types of shingle roofing systems from a large array of manufacturers. We are certified through CertainTeed to provide special warranties on high-end Architectural Shingle installations.

Our extensive high-end roofing service is able to provide quality installation of new and re-roofs. We are experts in roofing and while we are known for our custom products we can provide high quality shingle roof installations that are installed by experts in the roofing industry. We employ certified tradesmen who have completed the Roofers apprenticeship and hold some Red Seal certifications.

Flat Roofs

BA Roofing & Greenbuilding Construction installs a large range of flat roofs. We offer many different types of flat roofs:

A flat roof is one of the most cost-efficient roof types as all room space can be used fully (below and above the roof). Also, this roof allows easy revision/placement of solar panels. Flat roofs also provide space for outdoor recreational use such a roof gardens, terraces, balconies. Applying a tough waterproofing membrane in the form of some types of flat roofs forms the ideal substrate for green roof planting schemes. Our installers are trained for the specific skills required for the best possible installation quality for a particular application. We have experience in handling large and small projects. Cedar Roofing

Cedar shingles have the ability to last up to 40-50 years on a roof depending upon installation method and type. Cedar shakes and shingles are sturdy, highly resistant to all types of weather, and offer a natural appearance. Our client’s roofs achieve warmth, natural beauty and character when a cedar roofing system is complete.

There are a variety of quality shakes and shingles. There are 5 main types of cedar shakes and shingles. They are as follows:

• 18” Perfection BC Red Cedar Shingles, usual exposure is 5 ½”.
• ½” Butt Medium Shake BC Red Cedar which is 24” long, usual exposure is 10”.
• ¾” Heavy Shake BC Red Cedar which is 24” long, usual exposure is 10”.
• 5/8” butt x 18” Long Tapersawn Cedar Shake, usual exposure is 7 ½”.
• 1/2″ Royal x 24″ long at 7 1/2″ exposure, BC Red Cedar.

General Note: There are many variations to all five of the above types of cedar roofs. Examples would be Tapersawn shakes that also come in 24” lengths and the butt sizes can vary ie. ¾” or 7/8” or 1” etc. Jumbo 1” Butt Shakes and larger butts are available. All cedar shakes and shingles have approx. 3 different grades.

There are benefits when installing a cedar roof; it enhances the appearance of the building or home. No other roofing product offers this natural finish. It is a green product due to being a renewable resource, withstands 245 mph wind speeds and have high insulation value which creates low energy cost. No matter where you live, or how harsh the climate, a cedar shake or shingle roof will be as durable as it is beautiful. Cedar’s natural versatility makes it an ideal roofing product.

Steel Roofing

BA Roofing & Greenbuilding Construction supplies and installs Steel roofs of all types. A metal roofing system is generally manufactured from metal pans, tiles or pieces. Metal roofs are fire and spark resistant, durable, energy efficient and have many other qualities. We offer clients the ability to choose from many different materials and colours etc. The metals we specialize in are copper, lead coated copper, zinc, stainless steel, lead, galvanized metal, Galvalume aluminum and all colour steel roofing products.

Our installers are trained for the specific skills required for the best possible product for the job and method of installation. We have experience in the installation methods of many different standing seam methods, batten seam, corrugated, radius metal roofing, concaved or convex curved roofs and any custom metal fabrications. Tile Roofing

We offer tile roofing from a large number of manufacturers all over the world. Our expertise in roofing provided us the opportunity to install one of the most unique and complex tile roof system found anywhere on the Temple of Ten Thousands Buddha’s in Niagara Falls.

We have on staff, professional tile setters and can provide many styles of clay and concrete tile roofing systems designed to stand the test of time. Educated choices are required when choosing a tile roof. In Canada because of our wind driven snow and frequent freeze thaw cycles it is imperative that a tile roof system be selected with care. The installation of these roof systems are very technical we have the experience to provide a lasting tile installation.

Copper and Zinc Roofing

We employ tradesman coppersmiths on our team and have a large portfolio of successful copper roofing projects. Our team is capable of providing quality copper roofing systems that will last over 100 years. We have been installing copper roofing since our beginnings and our reputation for quality is beyond reproach.

Recently BA Roofing & Greenbuilding Construction was commissioned to remove and replace 90% of the entire copper roof on the Table Rock Center in Niagara Falls, ON. This complex project is at the brink of the falls and is continuously bombarded with the mist from the falls. We provided a complete 20 oz. copper batten seam roofing system that will serve to protect this unique building for over 100 years. This project took a full year to complete.

Synthetic Roofing

We offer a large number of synthetic roofing products that include imitation slate, cedar and tile. Many of our products offer extended warranties of up to 50 years.
